Born and raised in Limburg, Belgium, Tom Kenis trained as an Arabist in Leuven and International Relations in Louvain-la-Neuve, and studied Arabic in Cairo, Tunis, and Fès. He later lived and worked in Berlin and Ramallah before settling in Brussels. He writes fiction and essays about power, place, technology and the people caught in the gears. Occasionally, he produces and performs experimental electro-pop. He also applies his storytelling instincts as communications expert in the humanitarian sector through MakeShiftPublishing.
